Travelling To Shetland
Information for Tourists
Shetland is positioned in the heart of the North Atlantic and is easily accessible by air and sea from the UK mainland, Orkney, Scandanavia, Faroe and Iceland.
Jean, your host, is a travel agent for John Leask & Son and will be more than happy to assist you with travel arrangements to Shetland. If you prefer to arrange your own visit you may find the information below useful.

Many seemed surprised to find that the visitor can leave London at breakfast and be in Shetland before lunch. With British Airways providing regular, direct connections from Edinburgh and Aberdeen Shetland is within easy reach of all major UK airports.
Atlantic Airways
Throughout the summer months, Atlantic fly directly from London and Torshavn twice a week giving visitors the perfect opportunity to spend a weekend as our guests. Contact Shetland Islands Tourism
By Sea
North Link Ferries
The specially commissioned Northlink Ferries sail daily from Aberdeen and four times a week from Orkney. Visitors can relax during the overnight journey before arriving in Shetland fully refreshed.
Smyril Line
Smyril Line provides Shetland with a Scandnavian connection aboard the award winning Norrona. Like NorthLink's ferries, the Norrona was specially commissioned for the route and has proven very popular with those who have travelled on her.
As well as travelling directly from Torshavn and Bergen, the Norrona also provides links to Iceland and Denmark.
